Jerry Elcock – Waiting for You (Music Video)

Jerry Elcock Born in Guyana (South America) found his way to New York by Way of Miami in the early Early 80’s. His father being a A.M.E. Pastor being involved in the church quire and band was always mandatory for him and his Nine siblings, Jerry’s discovered his passion was singing at a early age, leaving Guyana at seventeen in search of a better life he settled in Jamaica New York, home of some of the jazz music Titans.

Driving cab by day gigging at night Jerry soon became a New York City go too for background vocals and writing leading him to work the late Luther Vandross performing lead vocals on saxophonist Najee’s Hit Album (Just an illusion) and the biggest commercial release (Where My Homies) By I’ll and All Scratch and (i’ll take her) with Brian McKnight. Soon after, Jerry landed a record deal and released his first album “Heart Break City” and that’s exactly what he experienced. Jerry never goes into details as of why decided to leave music alone for almost Twenty Years but states “The music business is the ‘Wild West'”.

Thanking God that he had another skill set after what he says could have pushed him over the edge, Jerry decided to focus on building later establishing over Forty Subway Sandwich stores Five Dominos Pizza’s and other real estate ventures in NYC. Some days you can even find Jerry in Harlem with his sleeves rolled up at one his favorite stores on 6TH AVE greeting his customers with a smile making a foot-long. He considers all customer service Entertainment. “Whether it’s making people feel good by Song, Food, Or Residence” serving people is Entertainment to me”, and at the core of who Jerry is – Entertaining is all he ever wanted to do.

Collaborating with one of Today’s Hottest Producers Rick Steel Executive Producer to French Montana, Jerry Decided to give music one more chance moving towards his roots with a Caribbean feel together they created “Waiting For You” a feel good sure to be classic followed with his Already Caribbean Christmas Classic Album “The Joy of Christmas” this year being it’s 15th Anniversary
Jerry hopes this time music doesn’t lead to Heart Break.
