From Wilmington, Delaware, Zel has been singing and writing his own music since the age of 9.

Music is not something Zel just picked up somewhere along his journey, it has always played a vital roll in his life. Growing up he taught himself to play the piano, guitar, and took saxophone lessons in grade school all the while singing for school choir his whole life.
